The operator
Neighborhood Provisions is a locally owned, single-store dispensary in small-town Alpena, Michigan, run entirely by local staff. Trevor Collins worked up from budtender to buyer and, at 26, sets the shelf for the whole store. Their edge is consultative service: they focus on the customer, not the transaction, and lean on repeat business, so brand selection has to be deliberate. Trevor carries products that keep guests coming back, which means he needs to read menus fast and buy to real demand.
The challenge
Before Superbud, ordering meant emailed menus and a back-and-forth chain of "we've got this, we don't have that" that could take two days before an invoice even landed. LeafLink menus were often out of date. For a solo buyer who is also pulled onto the floor every few minutes, that lag was a real drag on the day.
With Superbud Order
Now Trevor hops on, goes to the Cali Blaze link, builds his cart, and the order ships the next day, in about 10 minutes, even while he is being strategic about not double-ordering SKUs he still has on the shelf. The Sativa / Indica / Hybrid classification column shows each brand's stated indication, so he buys to what his customers actually want instead of second-guessing Google. At checkout, the platform flags any out-of-stock items before he submits, so he can adjust and still clear the shipping minimum. And it all works as well on his phone as on his desktop.
Superbud is the most user friendly platform on my end to work with. I hop on, go to the Cali Blaze link, add a bunch to my cart, and it'll be here tomorrow. That used to take two days of emails.
Why it matters
- Speed: two-day email chains collapse into a roughly 10-minute order, saving a couple of hours a day.
- Buys to demand: the brand-stated strain classification lets him order the Sativas and Indicas his customers ask for.
- No surprises at checkout: out-of-stock items are flagged before he submits, so he can adjust and hit the shipping minimum.
- Wins new business: the easy, image-rich menu put a brand he had never ordered, Strait-Fire, onto his shelf for the first time.
- Phone and desktop: he shops the menu on his phone while cross-referencing inventory on his computer.
